ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Lill, the heart behind Canine & Co. Animals have always been at the centre of my life. I grew up with dogs as part of the family. I got my first personal dog at 18, a rescue staffyX and have had dogs throughout my adult life. Horses have always played a huge role too, with growing up around horses. After studying horses at college, I worked as a groom for many years. I still have my own horse, Dolly — a 21-year-old ISH who is utterly fabulous.

Over time, my focus began to shift more towards dogs, largely thanks to my own dog, Arjuna. He’s an Indian street dog who I think is wonderful, but he certainly comes with his quirks and challenges! Living with him made me realise how many dogs need more than just the average group walk. They need understanding, patience, and tailored care — and that’s exactly why Canine & Co was born.

I firmly believe that all dogs deserve the chance to live their very best life, regardless of their background, quirks, or challenges. That belief shapes everything I do. My approach to dog walking goes far beyond simply stretching their legs — I provide specialised walks that meet each dog’s unique needs. Whether that’s giving energetic explorers the adventure they crave, offering a calm and steady pace for older companions, or working with those who need a little extra understanding, like Arjuna, I make sure every dog gets the care they deserve.

Alongside my canine services, I continue to provide equine care and yard support, combining my years of experience with a lifelong love of horses.

When I’m not working, you’ll usually still find me with animals — whether it’s pottering about with Dolly, taking Arj exploring on long walks, or diving into my passion for dog training. I recently co-founded GRC Dogsports Sussex, a club dedicated to a brilliant, inclusive sport that’s suitable for all dogs.

For me, Canine & Co isn’t just a service — it’s a way of combining my skills, experience, and passion to give animals the care they truly deserve, and to give their humans complete peace of mind.
